Today was another sucky day. It was cloudy all day. We had a mixture of steady light rain and drizzle for most of the day 😦

In addition, the landscape is still pretty boring. PLUS, we had a 9 mile stretch with nothing… no towns, no shelters, no stores… just a long straight road to follow.

With the steady rain and boring landscapes, I was only able to capture a couple of photographs.

So here goes…

The only redeeming factor was hiking with Oliver. We had lots of laughs swapping stories. It made walking in the rain bearable.

In case you are interested, here is one on Oliver’s songs from one of his 2 albums. He also has 2 more albums almost completed. Enjoy some great music…

Today’s Thoughts

  • Today would have been a really looooong day without Oliver’s company. Glad we could walk together.
  • I’m beginning to believe that the Camino is really a test of your will. It is tough to wake up at 6:30, look out the window and see rain, and know you have 5-8 hours of hiking in the rain for the day.
  • Oliver and I had a great dinner at a deli-like restaurant. Excellent food!! (FYI… the sun came out while we were eating dinner 🙂 )

Cheers,

  1. JJ, I’m glad to hear that you are persevering & you found Oliver to share the experience. It lightens the road for both of you. Godspeed, Roketz Redglare
